This elegantly styled craftsman home was a one-story, two-bedroom, one bathroom home. As most homes built during the early 1900 the bedrooms were quite small with very little closest space. The interior was quite detailed with wainscoting on all interior walls and extensive ceiling and floor moldings. The owners of this home loved the original roofline of the home however, they wanted to add a second story to maximize the space on the lot. The home had a rather large hallway off the living room, and this provided the perfect place for the staircase. The home was taken down to the studs with only the front portion of the home living room and dining room remaining in intact. The engineering design portion of the project was quite detailed due to adding a second story to an existing structure it takes structural engineering and the ability to fortify the existing foundation in order to hold the new loads. The final structure is still a 2 bedroom home however, the size of each of the rooms has doubled and both have very large walk-in closets. Now this home has 2 large master suites and a large open office or 3rd bonus room and 2 ½ bathrooms.
